Getting a free SSL certificate with AWS Certificate Manager for CloudFront (AWS howto)

In this video I will show you how you can get a free SSL certificate for your CloudFront distribution with the AWS Certificate Manager.

► What is SSL/TLS?
SSL/TLS is a security technology that encrypts all traffic between your browser and a webserver. It also ensures that you’re talking to the correct server and not with a man-in-the-middle.

► Advantage of AWS Certificate Manager?
It’s free of charge, easy to use with other AWS services and it automatically renews your certificates when they expire. You can set it up once and than forget it!

► Limitations
As of right now you can only use the generated certificates with Elastic Load Balancers and CloudFront distributions. Amazon will probably extend the support to many more services in the future.
